Don Bosco today take on PTW Ladies in the 7UP Street Basketball women final match at Mlimani City Courts, Dar es Salaam.
Don Bosco romped into the final after edging out Jeshi Stars 12-8 in the hotly contested match played at the same venue.
In the men's category, Durban and Southern Sun also made it to the final. Southern Sun sealed their berth after defeating Movenpick 26-20 while Durban won the spot on walkover.
The final encounter pitting Don Bosco against PTW is deemed exhilarating and competitive.
"We have beaten them several times hence there is nothing to stop us from winning again," said Nina Mliga, Don Bosco's most experienced player.
The teams met in the preliminary rounds and Don Bosco managed to post a slim 21-18 victory over PTW.
PTW will rely on national team player Nipael Kessy who would team up with Veronica Patrick, Jacqueline Shemeza, Joyce Midodi and Mgadeve
Taking part at the venue for the first, the tournament aimed at drilling basketball players for the regional basketball league.
"It was very successful and we hope to stage the event again next year," said Saleh Zonga, one of the event's organizers.
