Defending champion of the FIBA Africa Champions Club for Men Primeiro d’Agosoto Thursday displayed the stuff that made them champion of the continent biggest club competition with a 110-64 points victory over Warriors basketball club of Uganda in the last preliminary of the competition in Kigali, Rwanda.
The Angolan made it clear from the jump-ball that they are not ready to give room for any complacency winning in all four quarters by 24-14, 29-23, 24-12 and 33-15 to set up a quarter-final clash against Nigeria Kano Pillars who placed fourth in group-A.
Vladmir Jeronimo led the defending champion with 21 points while Miguel Lutonda added 20 points to complete the spanking of the Ugandan side who finished the competition as the ninth placed team.
