APR will be looking to navigate their way past Congo Brazzaville out fit Inter-Club when the two sides clash this afternoon in the quarter-finals of the Fiba Africa Club Championships at Amahoro indoor stadium court.

APR’s impressive run in the tournament was dented on Thursday after losing to 2006 champions, Petro Atletico of Angola, while their opponents have lost two of the four matches they have so far played.

Though APR coach Cliff Owuor thinks the tie won’t be as easy as most people are thinking, he is confident his Indomitable Lions will roar past the Brazzaville club.

“Every team that is participating in this tournament is a champion, so we cannot afford to underestimate this team.
“They are a good team, who boast of the top scorer in their ranks, but am confident we will defeat them,” the 32-year-old Kenyan trainer said yesterday.

Angolan duo of Petro Atletico and Primeiro de Agosto will go into their quarterfinal clashed with Co-operative Bank of Kenya and Kano Pillars of Nigeria respectively as favorites.
Benin’s ASPAC and DRC’s Mazembe meet in the other quarterfinal game.
