24th AFCCM (1st Semi-final): Jeronimo power Primeiro past APR 98-84

Vladmir Jeronimo proved to be a reliable player for defending champion of the FIBA Africa Champions Club for Men, Primeiro d’Agosto scoring 30 points to ensure victory for his side over host, APR Lions basketball club of Rwanda.

The defending champion who showed class against the host won the encounter by 98-84 points to secure a grand finale ticket slated for Tuesday at the sports hall of Amahoro stadium, Kigali, Rwanda.
Primeiro won the first three quarters by 26-18, 21-19 and 25-19 just as both sides end the last quarter in a tie with 26 points apiece.

Joining Jeronimo is reigning Africa most valuable player, Joaquim Gomes who recorded a double double effort of 18 points and 11 rebounds while Rodrigo Mascarenhas added 12 points and 8 rebounds.
APR dependable point guard Cedric Isom led his teammates with 26 points just as fellow point guard Mathew Miller added 23 points.

Primeiro will take on the winner of the second semi-final between Petro Atletico basketball club of Angola and ASB Mazembe basketball club of Democratic Republic of Congo in the final on Tuesday while APR will battle the loser of the second semis for the third place prize.
