The quarter-final game between ASB Mazembe basketball club of Democratic Republic of Congo and ASPAC basketball club of Benin Republic was indeed a game to watch as both side treated the large crowd at the sports hall of the Amahoro stadium in Kigali, Rwanda to the best basketball display.
Though the Congolese side won the hard battle by 86-82 points of 27-14, 21-23, 19-17 and 19-28 it was ASPAC off-guard Mohammed Bukar who stole the show of the day with his beautiful run and scoring prowess.
The young lad accumulated 31 points and 9 rebounds to increase his points accumulation to 130 points from 5 games.
ASB Mazembe Kantu Kubala led his team with 25 points and 4 rebounds while his teammates Mbav Kabwit had a double double effort of 18 points and 12 rebounds with Aubin Kasongo adding 16 points and 6 rebounds to stop the ASPAC run in the final round of the 24th edition of the FIBA Africa Champions Club for Men.
