LA ROSIERE and Plaisance are the winners of the second mini-basketball tournament played on Saturday at the Palais des Sports.
After the first tournament organised by the Seychelles Basketball Federation and sponsored by Cable & Wireless in September, young boys and girls wanted to have another go at trying their luck and testing their skills against each other.
Losers by a two-point margin to Anse Aux Pins in the September girls’ final, La Rosière outscored Baie Lazare 10-6 to triumph this time.
In the boys’ final, Plaisance again finished as winners with a 10-2 victory over the Independent School.
They beat Anse Aux Pins by a single basket to win the September final 6-4.
Cups were presented to the winners and losers, while Alexander Hoareau (Independent School) and Laila Soomery (Baie Lazare) were named the best male and female players of the tournament.
