Defending champion of the FIBA Africa Champions Club for Men, Primeiro d’Agosot Wednesday continue its impressive run in the 2009 edition of the continent biggest club competition for men with a 110-54 points victory over Cooperative Bank basketball club of Kenya at the sports hall of the Rwanda national stadium, Kigali.
The defending champion who like they were in a training session humbled the Kenyan in all department of the game winning in all four quarters by 38-16, 22-13, 30-07 and 20-18 points respectively.
Filipe Abraao led the floor with 16 points and 3 rebounds; Vladmir Jeronimo added 15 points and 6 rebounds, Miguel Lutonda recorded 13 points and 4 rebounds, the duo of Mario Correia and Carlos Almeida had 12 points each while the duo of Francisco Jordao and Rodeigo Mascarenhas contributed 11 and 10 points each.
The defending champion will round-off its group game Thursday against Warriors basketball club of Uganda at 19h00.
