24th AFCCM (Day-5): Interclub fail ASPAC test, loses 52-68

The hope of Interclub basketball club of Congo Brazzaville of finishing second in group-B of the 24th FIBA Africa Champions Club for men was Thursday dashed by enterprising ASPAC basketball club of Benin Republic who ran away with a 68-52 points victory.

The Cotonou-based ASPAC won the first three quarters by 19-09. 15-12 and 24-10 points leaving the Brazzaville side to console itself with a 21-10 points win in the last quarter.

ASPAC off-guard, Nigerian-born, Mohammed Bukar led his team with 14 points, 3 rebounds and one block-shot, Kader Yarou had a double double of 13 rebounds and 11 points while the trio of Romaric Quenum, Brice Hoonou and Leonne Chadare added 13, 12 and 11 points each.
The victory means ASPAC will now take on the winner between ASB Mazembe basketball club of Congo DRC and Kano Pillars of Nigeria who are both battling for who finish third and fourth in group-A
