Knight Riders frightened many hearts as they matched champions DMark Power for long spells before losing 96-104 in an exhilarating MTN-Fuba National Basketball League game at YMCA Court, Wandegeya on Saturday.
Ahead of a long week in which Power’s depth will be tested by Nkumba Marines on Wednesday and UCU Canons on Friday, they had to dig deep after Riders – 2008 Division II champions - led the first two quarters 22-18 and 21-20 respectively.
Former captain Isaac Afidra sunk 33 points while Norman Blick added 21 points as Power staged a superb comeback to take the final two quarters.
