Former Champions Mogas Falcons lived up to their title contender billing with yet another impressive performance culminating into a 94-78 win over Knight Riders in an MTN-FUBA League game played on Wednesday at YMCA Courts.

It was clear from the start that it was going to be a tall order for Knight Riders to hamper Falcons assault as the quality and experience of Stephen Omwony, and the Malinga brothers came to light in a show of virtuosity.

With a game high 24 points, Omwony again proved that he was worth the fortune that Falcons spent on him, but still Henry Malinga (20 points) and his brother Eric Malinga (15 points) re-affirmed their importance in the team’s bid to regain their supremacy in the league.

Falcons’ earlier pursuits granted Allan Tendo the privilege of resting his star players with more than four minutes to go, and for the replacements, it was a case of putting final touches to a job already done as Knight Riders suffered their seventh defeat of the season. Meanwhile action today shifts back to Lugogo Indoor stadium.
