Fiorentina won their second straight Santo Antao Island championship in the senior men division. The team from Porto Novo went undefeated, also taking the regular season title.
Fiorentina won the best of 3 games playoff series against Beira Mar, from Ribeira Grande.
The team from Porto Novo, Santo Antao Island, will represent the island in the national championship to be held mid June, in the island of Sal.
Like last season, Fiorentina won all the tournaments they participated in. They continue their dominance on the island. Fiorentina is now preparing for the Sao Joao Cup, the last tournament of the championship.
The leaders of the club call, once again, the municipal authorities and the Government, to the need of Santo Antao to be equipped with better conditions, in terms of infrastructure for the playing of indoor sports.
The opinion of the clubs that plays the sport is that Santo Antao needs a covered pavilion.
