NIGERIA : First Deepwater pound Sunshine as First Bank bomb I.G Queens

Nigeria team of the moment First Deepwater basketball club Monday pounded Sunshine Angels basketball club of Akure by 75-33 points to register its first major win in a competitive game since joining the legion of teams in the Nigeria women league.

The First Deepwater girls came out smoking in the last quarter pummeling their hapless opponent ending the quarter by 34-10 points for a cumulative score-line of 75-33 points.

Coach Erinfolami and his wards will file out against I.G Queens in Day-2 of the tournament at 14.00 hours.

In the first game of the day on Monday Nigeria perennial champion, First Bank basketball club walloped I.G Queens by as much as 63 points difference of 82-19 points to warn other would-be contenders to beware.

The Elephant Girls as the bankers are often referred to won in all four quarters of 24-04, 12-08, 19-02 and 27-05.

The Nigerian reigning champion will take on sunshine Angels in the second game of Day-2 at the sports hall of the national stadium, Lagos at 16.00 hours.
