KENYA : Reigning champs KCB Lions and Ports Authority firmly on coursedings

Reigning national champions KCB Lions and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA are firmly on course for their successive titles as both teas still remain unbeaten in the two month old premier league.

Lions over the weekend nipped Posta 59-57 in a top clash played at the Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium before a rousing crowd. But KPA also remain unbeaten despite having no league game in the past two weeks.

The two giants, who won last year's crowns by dismissing Co-operative bank of Kenya and Eagle Wings in the play off finals respectively are in no ninsense mood. While Lions sill have to play KPA, the porters will ciontend with Eastern Queens and Wings.

Former national champions Co-operative Bank of Kenya also won over Lombiritz 71-42 after being stunned 68-48 by KPA a few days ago. United States International University (USIU) Tigers mauled UoN Terrorists 63-56.

Eagle Wings, whose only loss was a sad walkover against Eastern Queens thrashed Mennonites 60-32 while Eastern Queens also stopped Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) University to remain unbeaten in the women category.

USIU Flames, taught a harsh lesson by KPA after that humiliating 75-15 loss in Mombasa, had to fight tooth and nail before torching Sprite Storms 45-38 in another hard fought game over the weekend.

Two teams UoN Terrorists in the men's category and Strathmore University Swords as well as Mennonites remain the only teams still without a win in the league race that got under way in April.
