Knight Riders are fond of giving each team they play a run for their money before succumbing in heartbreaking fashion throughout the MTN-Fuba National Basketball League so far.
Yet to win a game in five, Riders – 2008 Division II champions - will try to pick themselves up when they take a stern test from six-time champions Mogas Falcons at YMCA Court, Wandegeya this evening.
However, coach-player Collin Mukiza has not lost confidence in his Entebbe-based side. “Morale is still high within the team. We have managed to compete in all the games we have played except the first one against KIU,” Mukiza said yesterday.
“My biggest let down is that we have done enough to win so far especially because we are not so good in the inside so we must sink as many points as we can outside the arc.” Ivan Mutabazi and John Musoke must carry Riders’ cross.
Henry Malinga, Eric Malinga and Peter Elungat are expected to lead Falcons. In the women’s league, 2005 champions Mak Sparks will build up to their Friday clash with 2007 champs KCC Leopards by facing Crane High.
