A-I Challenge made clear their intentions of winning the MTN-FUBA Basketball League with a hard fought 68-66 win over rivals KCC Leopards in a nail-biting game played at the YMCA Courts on Tuesday.

A-1’s Hatim Kassim was the star of the day netting a game high 25 points as they survived a late surge by the Leopards engineered by Lady MVP Flavia Oketcho who had a modest 20 points.

After slim wins in the first 3 quarters (22-20,13-12,19-11) A-1 Challenge looked more vulnerable towards the end of the game especially with questionable shooting, but it was too late for the KCC Ladies to change the final score despite the 9 point difference in the last quarter.

In the Men’s top division, Ndejje University Angels put up a gallant performance and arguably their best game ever with a 77-64 win over the Miracle Eagles.

Miracles were pre-game favourites after winning their last game against KIU which came on the back of a slim loss to defending champions DMark Power, but failed to contain the University side who had Isaac Bwire scoring a game high 23 points with Ssali Donald adding 11 points.
