Thirty-two coaches are expected to attend FIBA-backed Young Coaches course slated to start on June 29 at Don Bosco courts, Dar es Salaam.
Organised by the Federation of International Basketball Associations(FIBA), the course aims at searching coaching talents among the basketball players.
Tanzania Basketball Federation�s secretary general Lawrence Cheyo said most of the participants are players featuring in the Dar es Salaam premier league(Kili RBA).
Cheyo said Kenya Ronnie Owino is the chief instructor of the five-week course planned to climax on August 6 at the same venue.
Cheyo said there are four veteran coaches also included in the course.They are Said Rubeya (Iringa) Joseph Matle, Jimmy Mkongo from Prisons and William Mziray(Oilers).
Other coaches include Damian Majale from ABC, Meng Meiners, Amne Maulid (Mambo Basket) Said Khamisi (Vijana), Amini Musira (Mwanza),Ramadhani Kalema , Fredrick Marwa and Mohamed Mshale (Pazi).
Also listed to attend it are Cleophace Rutta (Vingunguti Primary School), Daruwesh Shamuni, Mgeni Kiota (CMTU), Obete Mwabongo (Vijana) Lusajo Samwel, Gerald Baru (Oilers ) and Yassin Msira (Dodoma).
The list of coaches goes on with Erick Othman (TSA),Frank Simkoko, Alfred Ngaliji (JKT),John Mcharo and Jahu Mohamed (Vijana),Emanuel Mmwikalo (Airwing), Edwin Malongwa (Dodoma) and Faustin Magige(DIS)
