IT wasn’t an easy task, but they made it look easy as they rode Anse Etoile Stars’ challenge to stay unbeaten.
Women’s champions HotShots had a poor start and trailed at the end of the first quarter, but they gradually came back to tie the score and win the match-up against former champions Stars on a 55-42 score.
Seychelles power forward Myra Solin was instrumental in her team’s win with 15 points to give HotShots a maximum eight points in four games.
Following their first loss in four matches, the Stars are second in the five-team standings with seven points.

RA Sisters, whose only win so far in four games came against winless and bottom team Juniors on a 60-36 score, are fourth with five points.
In the men’s top division, champions Baya extended their winning run to eight matches with an 84-61 defeat of RC Dynamics, whose sharp shooter Kenneth Domingue was hit with two technical fouls for shouting and insulting the match officials. Those were his fourth and fifth personal fouls. For swearing, Wilby Domingue also got a technical foul.
The Domingues are to learn their fate later this week as the disciplinary committee is to meet to discuss the action to be taken against them.
Player of the year Jean-Paul ‘JP’ Camille got 16 points, playmaker Giovanni Laval added 13, centre Robert Léon 13, and Dave Roseline 12 as Baya marched on to their eighth consecutive victory in the 10-team league for a maximum 16 points.

With balanced scoring – 24 points including three treys from Cyril Agrippine, 22 including six threes from Brian Morel, 20 from Nigel Henriette and 14 from Nigel Sinon, – MBU Rockers showed no pity for Beau Vallon Heat with a 102-46 victory.
It was the Rockers’ seventh win in eight games and they sit in second position with 15 points, while the Heat, who were led in scoring by Pascal Bibi (13 points) and Tony Barbé (12), are eighth with nine points after just one win in eight games.
With his six buckets from downtown, Morel has tied with Marlon Marimba as the best 3-pointer scorers in a single match this season.
Marimba scored six treys for 18 of his game-high 34 points as he carried the Heat to their first win, stopping a three-game losing skid in a 78-61 win over Praslin Warriors on Saturday May 2.
On the back of 31 points from Daniel Dodin, Angels put one over newcomers Mont Fleuri Dawgz with an 89-71 victory. The Anse Boileau-based team also got double digit scoring from Kieren Agathine (19 points), Barry Dubignon (17) and Steve Antat (13) as they collected their third win in seven games for 10 points and fifth place.
