Miracle 86-61 Knight Riders
Miracle Eagles and two-time winners Nkumba Marines attained crucial wins to keep their pursuit for MTN-FUBA League play-off spots on track on Friday night at the YMCA courts in Wandegeya.
Peter Wakimwero’s 22 points helped Nkumba edge Ndejje Angels 63-60. Isaac Bwire scored a game-high 28 points but it was all in vain as Ndejje couldn’t continue their giant-killing ways. Marines are now fourth on the log.
Miracle Eagles also closed in on Nkumba Marines and Ndejje after ending a two-game losing streak with a convincing 86-61 win over Knight Riders.
Former MVP Boniface Okello top scored for the Lubaga-based side with 23 points whereas Chris Kyebambe chipped in with 14 points.
Riders’ Roger Odima got 19 points as the Eagles overrun the season debutantes winning all quarters 24-17, 32-24, 15-11, 15-9.
