Kampala International University (KIU) recorded their second win of the MTN-Fuba League season on Saturday night at YMCA Wandegeya.

Coach Nimrod Kaboha’s charges out-muscled KCC Lions 61-40 in a low-scoring but physical counter played under floodlights. Although without their centre player Michael Kariuki, who is back home in Kenya for holidays, KIU gave KCC Lions no chance from the first whistle.

Markmort Orom ruled the paint, pulling down a game high 16 points for KIU while Mandy Juruni added 10. After a dull first half that was only lightened by KCC star Chaka Jeje’s outstanding slam-dunk, both teams called on their physical might which led to two ejections apiece.
