National record champions Falcons pulled the curtains to their first round games with 76-36 pounding of Kampala City Council (KCC) Lions in the MTN-FUBA League at the YMCA courts in Wandegeya on Saturday.
Reeling from a 70-67 loss to Kyambogo Warriors, Steven Omony led the way as he top scored with 16points, Sande Okot posted 13, and Peter Elungat added 11 as Falcons put up a rational display to hand the Lions their seventh loss of the season.
KCC were out-muscled as they posted their lowest score this season with Andrew Okot posting a mere nine points. Falcons won all the quarters 10-16, 6-21, 14-11,6-28. UCU Mukono mauled Magic Stormers 74-39 in the ladies category.
