Chang'ombe United have reclaimed their place in the Dar es Salaam Premier Basketball League (Kili RBA) after winning all their matches in the Dream Cup League.
Six teams are battling it out in a bid to win one of the two tickets to feature for the Kili RBA next season.
United have two matches at hand that would enable them to get maximum 10 points while their closest challengers Tan blacks and Cargo Stars would only bag eight points if they win the remaining games.
Formerly known as Chang'ombe Boyz, the team suffered relegation after being involved in ugly incidents when they took on Vijana during the last season's semi-final showdown.
Before the relegation, Chang'ombe were among the top four basketball giants alongside Savio, Vijana and JKT. Despite dropping to the first division, Chang'ombe maintained all their prolific players who include the likes of Adam Jegame, Abdallah Kavashe and Amani Temba.
The team's head coach, Jaji Kasoga, said they were determined to win the remaining encounters in order to get maximum points. He commended his players for the discipline and fighting spirit: "Our successes are down to hard work."
Cargo Stars and Tanblacks have set sights on the remaining ticket and their match will decided the team which will join high flying Chang'ombe.
Cargo Boys, who are supported by CXC and Vodka featured in the premiership five seasons ago and stand a better chance to return to the Kili RBA.
