The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) at the weekend releases the list of the twelve players who will fly the country flag at the 21st FIBA Africa Championship for Women holding in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
The twelve players who will be representing Nigeria at the continent biggest women basketball tournament has a blend of foreign and home based players which includes former Africa golden girl, Mfon Udoka who will be captaining the Nigerian side to the Madagascar showpiece.
Other players on the roster include, Turkey base, Mactabene Amachere and Adeola Olanrewaju, Ukraine higher league import player for 2009, Charity Egenti, Amaka Adibeli, Tamunomiete Whyte, Funmilayo Ojelabi, Chioma Udeaja, Magdalene Ukato, Vivian Ewalefo, Rashidat Sadiq and Vera Angwe-Ellong.
Meanwhile arrangement has been concluded for the team to fly out on Wednesday, the team will have its first Group-B game against Mali on Friday.
Nigeria other group games are as follows; Nigeria Vs Rwanda on Saturday, on Sunday Nigeria will battle Tunisia while Monday will be observed as rest by the twelve participating countries.
Hostilities are expected to resume on Tuesday with Nigeria taking to the floor against Côte d'Ivoire who replaced Guinea who pulled out of the championship and conclude her group game against Angola on Wednesday.
