KENYA : Champs KCB Lions and challengers KPA locked in the closes league race ever

National champions KCB Lions and challengers Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) are locked at the top of the tighest race since the league got underway in 1987.

Following tough weekend matches, Lions and KPA are all on 26 points though the porters have played a game less than the bankers. Pundits tip KPA to take pole position ahead of the play offs starting next month. KCB beat USIUn 78-72 while KPA sailed past Posta 70-59.

International Christian Center (ICC) who won 53-47 over UoN are third with 25 points. Strathmore University who have completed their matches are on 23 points and are tied with Posta who will move ahead win or lose their remaining ties.

Eastern Queens tops in the ladies table with 27 points while reigning champions who whipped Storms 94-7 in Mombasa are on 25 having played two games less.

Eagle Wing, who have yet to lose a game save for two walkovers the gave earlier on beat Yana 72-29 and have 24 points. Strathmore University Swords were awarded their game against Mennonites on a 20-0 basis. They are still second from last.

In a Division One Masinde Muliro University of Agricultuire and Technology (MMUST) are tops on 30 points. Kenya College of Accountancy KCA) University are second on 26 after beating Nakuru Club 60-37.
