Antananarivo (21st FIBA Africa Championship for Women) – Cote d’Ivoire Wednesday makes Nigeria qualification for the quarter-final more difficult with a 44-41 points drubbing of the two-time Africa champion.
The tie was both sides fourth group-B game with Cote d’Ivoire sealing her qualification for the quarter-final stage with a 3-1 records leaving Nigeria with a 2-2 record.
Both sides shared the quarters evenly with Cote d’Ivoire winning in the first and last quarters 18-12 and 13-10 with Nigeria picking the second and third quarters 09-06 and 10-07 in the low scores game.
Nigeria will keep a date against group leader Angola on Wednesday while Cote d’Ivoire will battle Rwanda.
