GHANA : SAVING THE BEST FOR THE LAST

One of Ghana's revolutionary community basketball tournaments 'STOMP THE YARD HOOPS' is drawing closer to its last community. The tournament which begun on the 22nd of August this year has already stomped eight different communities in and around the capital city of Accra. The first community court stomped was at University of Ghana which also will be hosting the grand finals on December19 this year. The tournament seems to be growing bigger in its participation and audience from community to community and will surely live beyound it's expectation in December during the grand finals.

Eight male and female teams have so far qualified for the grand finals in December with one male and female team qualifying from each community. Also qualifying for the finals are eight male and female 3pointer shooters and 8 slam dunkers. With two more communities to go Tema community seems to be saving the best for the last with most of Ghana's best basketball players residenced in this great basketball community. But before stomping the Tema Hoops comes Sakumonoh community which is just some few kilometers from Tema. These last two communities yet to be stomped are home to two of the nation's top club teams Tema Youth of Tema Community and Premier Panthers of Sakumonoh.

All basketball players and teams in, around and outside these two great basketball communities should book the 17th October 2009 at the Sakumonoh Friday's court & 24th October 2009 at the Tema Chinese Court and make it a point to come witness two of the nations biggest basketball communities come alive with great basketball skills, unbelievable slam dunks and sharp shooting three pointers.
