Miracle Eagles’ dream of making the MTN-FUBA National Basketball League play-offs suffered another dent as they lost 78-87 to Kyambogo Warriors at YMCA court, Wandegeya on Sunday.

It was a second straight defeat in the second round after the Rubaga-based side were beaten by fourth-placed Ndejje University Angels on Friday.

Even a game-high 24 points from Mohammed Ali and Brain Ssentogo’s 21 could not rescue Miracle from the Warriors onslaught as the latter made it 10 wins in 11 games to remain second in the standings behind champions and leaders DMark Power.

Man-of-the-match Abdullah Ramadhan sunk 19 points and Jude Ochen added 15 as both players nailed 12 points from outside the arc for Warriors. Star guard Ronnie Kasewu and Joshua Etalu also reached double figures with 16 and 10 points respectively.
