Miracle may lose their earlier anticipated playoff spot after a series of poor perfomances in the second round of the FUBA national basketball league. Starting off well with a win over KIU, the Miracle Eagles would then stumble and fall to a less favored Ndejje University Angels, a team to which they've become prey despite the fact the fact that Ndejje is newly promoted to the men's Division one. Ndejje University still beat Miracle in the first leg. Ndejje lead all throughout the second leg match with Miracle showing less signs of taking control of the game. Asked what caused the loss, Center Brian Sentongo commented that the team is having some communication issues that they will first have to address. The game against ndejje ended 76-72.
In a similar manner, a struggling Miracle side lost to Warriors yesterday 89-74, This becomes Miracles second loss in the second round and Bernes Ankunda's second loss as well after Ankunda replaced Sam Obol who returned to his player status with giants Falcons.
Dmark Power still remain unbeaten in the league this year. The defending champions have so far played two games against Knight Riders and played out an outstanding win over the UCU friday night.
Falcons have so far lost a game to Warriors in the second round opener 74-73 and had a win Wednesday over KCC Lions.
As of the big three who can be quite assured of a place at playoffs considering they can keep winning, Dmark Power, Falcons and Warriors. but the place for fourth playoff spot still remains under great contention with teams like Miracle, UCU, KIU, Nkumba Marines and Ndejje.
KCC Lions and Knight Riders may well be headed for a drop to second division until a work of a miracle comes through.
