The highly-anticipated clash between unbeaten A-1 Challenge and Kampala City Council (KCC) Leopards won’t take place tomorrow.
The game is among three MTN-Fuba League fixtures that have been postponed by the Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (Fuba). “We have been informed that YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) will be holding a graduation ceremony on Friday (tomorrow),” Fuba assistant general secretary Joseph Manano told Daily Monitor yesterday.
“Actually, we won’t be allowed to carry out any activity at the venue beginning Thursday (today).” Fuba has no permanent home and rents an outdoor basketball facility at the Wandegeya-based YMCA yet the alternative venue – Lugogo Indoor Stadium – is undergoing renovation.
The other affected fixtures are Falcons-Kampala International University (KIU) and Ndejje University Angles-UCU Canons. The three games will now be played Saturday at YMCA. “We also pushed ahead the Saturday game between Magic Stomers and Mak Cubs,” he said.
