The 13 week U18 basketball community based competition is coming to an end on friday 4th September at the Elwak Stadium near the Aviation Social center. After seven communities battle it out through the group stages through to the semi's only two teams emerged finalist to prove which community has the best and brightest young prospects. The third and fourth place will be played between Dansonman and Ashiaman.
The Two finalist that made it into friday's finals are Ridge and Cantonment. Ridge overcame Dansonman whiles Cantonment demolished Ashiaman both in the semi finals last on the 28th of August 2009.. Both teams have one thing in common, national team coaches. Both teams are coached by two of the Ghana's national team coaches. Cantonment is been Coached by Mr. Daniel Sowah whiles the Ridge team is being coached by Mr. Lawal Brimah. Would you say their experience got them into the final's? These two teams have been amongst the most consistent teams in the tournament even though both teams experienced some shocking loses during the build up to the finals.
