UGANDA : Power face Angels

IT is just as well the Ndejje Angels have been in a rich form coming into today’s national basketball FUBA league encounter with Power. They will need it.
Ndejje have won three of their last four men’s top-flight matches, including the last two against KIU Titans and Nkumba Marines.

It is a run that has all but guaranteed Walker Obedi’s team survival from relegation, one that underlines the improvement they have made since the start of the league second round. Yet if Ndejje have improved, so have Power.

The difference is that Power were already one of the best teams in the league by the end of the first round. After their 80-61 victory over the Falcons two weeks ago, Power are probably the best team right now.

Bernice Nkunda’s team were untouchable against Falcons, who nonetheless had their talismanic centre Richard Osano hampered with a serious knee injury.
Obedi loves a challenge but if Power are anywhere close to their best, today’s could be a very long game.
