Shane Lawal (206-F/C-86, agency: KMG Sports Management, college: Wayne St., MI) and Lawrence Nwevo (203-F/C-85) were named the ESL Las Vegas All Big Man Team. Shane Lawal is a quality all around big guy who was an excellent defender. He blocked a lot of shots and rebounded extremely well during the ESL event. He is a great athlete who runs the floor like a deer. Having a Contonu passport makes his a big time asset for the right team in Spain. He played his first three seasons for Oakland (NCAA) and then moved to Wayne St., MI (NCAA2, starting five). After 27 games he averaged 11.7ppg, 8.5rpg, 2.6bpg, FGP: 53.7%, FT: 50.0%, while in 2009-2010 moved to Club (Qatar-D1, starting five) and in 11 games showed 15.1ppg, 13.2rpg, 1.9bpg, 1.6spg.
Lawrence Nwevo was the hardest working big guy in Las Vegas. He is an excellent defensive player and rebounder. He has a great attitude and is a winner. Lawrence also has a Contonu passport and would be a nice asset to a team in Europe. In 2003-2004 he apparead for Ebun Comets and averaged 17.3ppg, (1)-11.1rpg, 2FGP: 59.1%, ft-70.7%. In 2004-2005 he played for Towson Catholic H.S and then for Lamar University (NCAA). Nwewo stayaed with the team for 5 years and averaged 4.1ppg, 2.9rpg in the last season.
