Liberian basketball star Oliver Yoiyoi has left the country for Dakar, Senegal.
The centre departed the country on Tuesday via the Roberts International Air port.
LBF Secretary General Fred Pratt said the Mighty Barrolle player is heading for Dakar at the invitation of an international group, Basketball Without Borders Africa.
Mr. Pratt said the national U-18 man was selected by a team of top notch coaches in the country.
On the issue of the activities of the player during his one week stay in Senegal, Mr. Pratt said the player will bet thought some new methods about basketball.
He said the LBF is trying to put Liberian basketball on the map by partnering with foreign institutions to provide training for local basketballers.
Oliver Yoiyoi is the third person to represent the country at the event following Mohammed Jabateh and Bemia Mulbah.
Both players did theirs in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
This year’s competition which kicked off Thursday, is brining together top sixty U-19 players on the continent.
