Basmal vice president Jacob Chikoya said the youth camp would be held simultaneously with this year’s world basketball governing body’s (Fiba) congress.
The Fiba congress is expected to be held either this month or early September.
Chikoya said Basmal president Oscar Kanjala would accompany the three to the youth camp.
“As of now we have completed the process of selecting possible candidates to travel to Turkey. We want each region to benefit from this youth camp,” he said.
The Basmal vice president said the association has applied for visa to enable the three visit Turkey.
Chikoya said the youth camp would enable the three to gain international exposure.
Meanwhile, Central Zone Basketball League (Cezobal), is impressed with how the league has developed.
Cezobal vice president Barlett Mafuleka said most teams have improved tremendously.
“Teams which were regarded as minnows in the league have improved so much that you can’t predict their games as it used to be,” he said.
Mafuleka cited Trojans who are leading the Cezobal with 34 points.
“Trojans are a rejuvenated side, especially after beating reigning champions Mimbulu for the first time two weeks ago,” he said.
Trojans’ point guard Rocky Kaunda is the club’s leading scorer.
Last weekend, Kaunda notched 36 points in his teams two victories over Alliance One and Mdzodzo.
