Joseph Ikong does not seem to love taking the backseat as DMark Power romp into the MTN-Fuba League play-offs.

Inevitably, such is the avalanche of talent at the disposal of the three-time champions that the shooting guard may find himself as part of the supporting cast now and then.

Following a relatively quiet game against Mountain Dew Falcons last week, Ikong (pictured) recovered his gun to shoot a team-high 20 points in Power’s 90-71 thumping of Ndejje University Angels at YMCA court, Wandegeya on Saturday night.

Not that it was going to be contest but Power are clearly dishing caveats to all their rivals as Boniface Okello (13), Ben Komakech (11), captain Norman Blick (10) and Isaac Afidra (10) aided Ikong’s all-round display. Apart from Paul Mwaka (25), Ndejje struggled to keep pace with Power’s quick transition and full court press with the latter taking all four periods 28-19, 27-21, 19-18 and 16-13 respectively.
