BARON Davis has promised to lure more NBA stars to Rwanda. The Los Angeles Clippers point guard made a brief tour to the country last week and noted that Rwandan basketball had a bright future after watching a couple of league games.
While he could not give names, he said, “there is big talent in Rwanda and I think it will be great if more NBA players came over and inspired the local youngsters.”
Before joining the Clippers, Davis, 31, had stints at Charlotte Hornets and Golden State Warriors. In 2002, he played for the US national team in the Fiba World Championship held in Indianapolis, USA.
