Kyambogo Warriors coach Gad Eteu struck a relieved figure if not a convinced one as his side regained their shooting guns at YMCA court, Wandegeya on Saturday night.

Warriors have had an unconvincing start to their MTN-Fuba League title defence but Saturday’s 132-73 thumping of newly-promoted St. Michael might just be a timely answer.

It’s a result so easy to underscore since St. Michael have only won once this season but for Eteu, the importance is in his big guns coming good.
Michael Kariuki shed his struggles since his move from KIU Titans with 21 points but it was his former teammate Markmot Orom who still runs the show.
Orom led Warriors’ onslaught with 27 points while MVP Ronnie Kasewu recovered from a knee injury with six. Joshua Etalu (19), Henry Malinga (12) and Kenyan Martin Okwako also had double figures as Warriors prepared for the big showdown with Mountain Dew Falcons this Friday. Amin Mtambo (22), Daniel Owit (12) and Hakim Muwanika stood out for St Michael.
