FAROUQ Omar scored 23 points as the KIU Titans defeated the Entebbe based Knight Riders 78-53 in a low scoring encounter at YMCA on Saturday evening.

The 6’4” Omar is coach Nimrod Kaboha’s replacement for the central position in KIU’s back line since Michael Kariuki joined the defending champions, Warriors at the start of this season. He enjoyed a field day even with defence from the out sized Riders’ team.
Moses Olobo dropped 13 points as the Riders were handed their fifth loss of the season.

John Musoke and Moses Ebwonyo scored 21 and 13 points respectively, but could not change the Riders fortunes on the cold evening.
“We have to change our attitude and gain motivation if we are to win our next five games in this first round,” explained Riders’ coach Wilson Tabaro.

Meanwhile in the ladies category, Jane Kiwanuka scored 16 points and teammate Esther Wanitho added eight as the Lady Bucks beat Crane High who had only six players on court.

Nabisunsa were also 63-45 winners over the Amazon Rhinos.
