The ambitions of Miracle Eagles are to get into the MTN-Fuba League men’s division One play-offs for the first in the club’s history.
Their charge into the postseason bid fell short last year and three victories in their opening seven games are yet to serve the purpose for which youthful Brian Rugyendo was signed as coach.
But ahead of tonight’s game against Mountain Dew Falcons at YMCA court, Wandegeya, Rugyendo is looking on the bright side.
“I am not worried yet. This team has only trained together for two months and the bonding is a process not an accident,” Rugyendo told Daily Monitor after the 63-58 win over KCC Lions.
Falcons, six-time champions, have thrilled in bits so far having signed stars from across the East African region including Rwandan pair Mike Buzangu and Karim Aine Nkusi plus Kenyan Richard Osano Omondi.
On Wednesday, Ndejje University Angels fell 63-58 to KCC Lions, while St. Michael beat Berkeley 93-83.
