Even with the new recruits, Mountain Dew Falcons are a club with a new identity and style of play displayed in their winning start to a season against St. Michael affirmed that. Today they hope to keep their winning mentality when the face Knight Riders at the YMCA Wandegeya basketball court in a busy weekend of the MTN-Fuba basketball league.

Falcons’ faithfuls endured a period of uncertainty during the off season with players departing in a manner that threatened the club’s image. But those factors notwithstanding, some observations were inescapable. First was the makeup of the line-up, which included four foreigners – with two still to come according to club chairman John Ssimbwa. “I have been around enough to know where to draft players from,” Ssimbwa said.

Besides four lower division men’s games, two women’s games featuring A-1 Challenge-MUK Cubs and Lady Bucks-KIU will take place.
