The Liberia Basketball Federation (LBF) national league began last Friday at the Open Air Sports Commission on Broad Street in Monrovia.
Defending champions NPA Pythons bashed rejuvenated Dream Team II 84-64 points in an exciting encounter.
NPA Pythons were kept at bay as Dream Team II took control of the first two quarters. However, they recovered from the brink as Rafell Quare made seven assists and converted fifteen points in the final quarter surge to give NPA Pythons the needed victory.
The league continued Saturday with Rocket Angels Shooters defeating Supreme Sisters 64-20 points.
Patience Gbehnyan scored 28 points for the Shooters and created seven assists with four rebounds during the encounter.
