Lenana A beat Mutongoni 19-4 in basketball as the Lenana School Founders Day tournament tipped off in Nairobi.
Innocent Adagala, Derrick Malinga and Kelsen Mwirigi scored six, four and three points for the winners.
Musa Wallah and Meshach Muthama notched two points each for Mutongoni.
Lenana B, who opened the tournament against Maseno School, found the going tough, losing 26-11.
Maseno won the quarters 12-4 and 14-7, with Jeremy Opiyo scoring a game-high 15 points for the winners.
In the boys’ events where Nyeri High are the champions, Friends School Kamusinga thrashed Kirangari 47-0. Thika High won 14-4 against Kairi High in a one-sided match.
Pangani Girls beat Precious Blood Riruta 22-1 in a one sided match in the girls’ category. St Georges are title holders.
Michel Njoki scored Riruta’s only half a basket in the dying minutes.
