Champions Warriors will play Falcons in the MTN-Fuba League second round opener on Friday at YMCA. Women title holders KCC Leopards also have a tough fixture against unbeaten A-1 Challenge after basketball body Fuba further delayed the second round tip-off due to security concerns.
Following bomb blasts at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds that left over 70 people dead recently, Fuba were forced to call off the league that had been expected to start yesterday evening.
“Due to security clearance issues for now, we regret to inform you that the league opening has once again been postponed to next Friday,” Fuba technical committee member Donan Byabazaire wrote to clubs on Saturday. Fuba promised to tighten security for the Friday games.
