NIGERIA : Akofa Ivy League Stars Start Screening

The screening of the Akofa Ivy League All Stars team scheduled to play in a youth basketball tournament in Belgium begins today at the Rowe Park Sports Complex, Yaba, Lagos State, Nigeria.

At least 82 young basketballers from different schools across the state have been invited to fight for a place in the final list of the Under 15 (boys and girls), Under 17 (boys and girls) and Under 18 (girls) teams for the tournament billed for Ghent, Belgium.

Some of the players invited for the screening exercise that will hold between 9a.m. and 3p.m. tomorrow and 3p.m. and 6p.m. on Sunday are Atta Aronze, Cole Olamide and Guobadia Omoregie from Corona School.

Jesse Michael,Amaobi Michael,Ogbonna Fredrick, Esiobu Emmanuel and Esiobu Michael from Honeyland College were also invited for the exercise.

Others are International School, University of Lagos’s Adeoye Kehinde, Adeola Taiwo, Adeloye Babajide, Nwachukwu Aham and Ogundipe Morounfoluwa.

Indian School has Pete Savio, Aditya Malhotra, Prabhjeet Kaur, Amrath Bai, Vishal Kirpalani, Shubhta Seth, Arushi Tewari, Deepakshi Khuraria, Rucha Despande, Vijayta Lalwani, Devyani Ahuja, Mmoulya Paramesh, Pooja Wadwani, Vidhisha Paryani, Shristi Aain, while Nigerian Turkish Int’l School is represented by Bobby Kingsley Uranta Others will be coming from Christland College, Engee High School, Whitesands School, Towergate School and Ansar-ud-Deen Grammar School.
