Star Sports has gathered that the Liberia National Olympic Committee has lifted the suspension of all three suspended executives of the Liberia Basketball Federation.
LBF president, vice president and Executive Committee member, Gbour Wilson, Rufus Anderson and Solomon George were slapped with one year suspension each last September for what the LNOC called gross insubordination.
But Star Sports understands the ban has been lifted following the intervention of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
According to reports the ministry at a recent meeting disagreed with the decision of the LNOC and requested body to formerly announce the lifting of the suspension of the three individuals at press conference.
When contacted for confirmation, the Secretary General of the local Olympic committee couldn’t deny nor confirm the reports.
Mr. Joseph Willie told Star sports he was in class and would call later to comment on the matter.
