We all know DMark Power are not necessarily dependent on one player to the extent that Joseph Ikong is almost a forgotten man now.
Last year’s regular season top scorer is really struggling and went scoreless in the MTN-Fuba League Division One on Sunday night at YMCA court. It hardly mattered as Power strolled to an 81-67 victory over Ndejje University Angels.
The champions came out all guns blazing in their bid to bury the 93-80 loss to rivals Kyambogo Warriors. They stifled Ndejje 27-14 and 17-4 in the first two quarters respectively to build an assailable 26-point lead at the break. Isaac Afidra continued his good start to the season with 15 points and six rebounds. Richard Balemwa (15), Isaac Luggudde (14) and Emmanuel Enabu (10) were not too far behind.
Cyrus Kiviri had a game-high 19 points but coach Walker Obedi’s side never even got close to a sniff of a major upset.
