The MTN-Fuba League is surely nearing its business end with play-offs drawing ever closer. Whereas Mountain Dew Falcons and champions Kyambogo still have work to do, DMark Power and UCU Canons have their part to secure their places in the postseason.

This evening, Falcons and Warriors face mid-table strugglers Ndejje University Angels and minnows St. Michael at YMCA court, Wandegeya seeking a crucial final kick.

Losing to UCU last Friday was Falcons’ fourth this season. Avoiding a backlash is important as the six-time champions have made it a habit to fold in the fourth period which culminated into squandering an 11-point advantage to lose 69-63 to UCU. Richard Osano Omondi, Mike Buzangu and Cedric Sinarinzi could be forced to sacrifice some of their showboating soon.

Inconsistency has been Ndejje’s biggest undoing with only Donald Ssali showing signs regular good form.
For coach Gad Eteu, the stop-start season that Warriors have had will matter little when they get to ‘real business’ much as there is work to do. “This (fourth) position could go down to the difference in points so it’s good to get as many as possible from every game,” Eteu noted. Guard Abdullahi Ramadhan and MVP Ronnie Kasewu will have to be at their best.
