Royal Hoopers Basketball Club of Port Harcourt will this evening continue their quest for the 2009/2010 DSTV Premier League Crown against a semi-final clash with Union Bank Basketball Club.
The match billed for 4:00p.m. local time will see the hosts battling for a place in the finals against the Stallion Boys at the Civic Centre, Port Harcourt. A victory for either side will secure them a ticket in the continental championship next season.
The defending champions, Kano Pillars will confront Dodan Warriors of Lagos in the other semi-finals. While Pillars are the team to beat, Warriors have vowed to fight for victory despite playing with a depleted side. P.M.Sports gathered that three of Warriors’ stars travelled to the United States in search of greener pastures.
Speaking after his side’s 80-53 points victory over Warriors last night, Team Manager of Royal Hoopers, Ifie Ozaka, stated that their ultimate target is to win the league.
Team Manager of Union Bank, Rotimi Savage said the fans will see the best of his team today, boasting that they will come out determined against the hosts to secure a final berth and a continental ticket.
