THE Kyambogo Warriors are on the brink of ending their playoff jinx over the Mountain Dew Falcons as victory in game three of their MTN-FUBA men’s first division playoff semi-finals will see them eliminate the record champions from the title race.
More importantly, it will ensure the Warriors progress to the playoff finals, where they will face either D’Mark Power or KIU.
The Warriors have established a 2-0 lead in their best-of-five semi-final series.
Steven Omony’s Falcons were leading by a point when Kyambogo’s Jude Ochen sunk a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give his team a 73-71 victory on Wednesday.
However, the Falcons, who have beaten the Warriors in the last two postseasons, have come back from 2-0 to beat the Warriors before and Isaac Luggudde vows they can do it again.
