LIBERIA : FIBA donates to Liberia

The Federation of International Federations of Basketball Associations of Africa has donated a huge consignment of equipment to the local basketball federation.

The FIBA Africa items donated include five hundred balls, a movable score board and a shot clock.

The Secretary General of the Liberia Basketball Federation put the value of the materials at around sixty- five thousand United States Dollars.

Mr. Fred Pratt said the donation was a response of an appeal made to the African basketball governing body by the LBF earlier this year.

He disclosed the items were currently in the Ivory Cost and said modalities were been worked out to have them release soon.

The donation is the second to be made to the Gbor Wilson led administration by FIBA Africa.
It can be recalled that FIBA Africa donated one hundred balls and 7 referees’ outfits to the LBF few years ago.
