The second round MTN-FUBA league promises to be an exhilarating one, and what better way to draw the curtains open with a day of All-Star action today at YMCA, Wandegeya.
The eighth edition of FUBA All-Star day will feature the league’s best players, the rookies against the sophomores, three-point shootouts and the fan favourite’s, the slam dunk contest showcased in both Men and Ladies categories.

“I think the competitive edge will be there because players have different abilities, which they may show during the league, so it’s going to be interesting,” said Joseph Manano, FUBA’s technical committee member.

“We shall start early because we have a number of things to handle. The teams’ technical committee followed the selection of players by fans made via SMSs to FUBA,” Manano noted.

There will also be a raping/singing competition, dancing competitions, performances from local artists like GNL and Peter Miles and voting of the Mr and Ms. Sprite All-Stars 2009.
